Here’s exactly when and why to book your wedding cake, and what to have ready before you do.

The Ideal Time Frame

For most weddings, the best time to book your cake is 6 to 12 months before your wedding date. This gives you plenty of time to secure your date, order tasters, finalise the design, and make adjustments based on your theme or guest count.

Booking tip: Peak wedding months (May to September) book up quickly—especially for popular weekends. If you’re getting married in that window, aim for 9–12 months in advance.

What You Should Know Before Booking

You don’t need to have every detail planned, but it helps to have:

• Your wedding date and venue locked in

• An idea of your guest count

• A rough theme or colour palette

• Any design inspiration (Pinterest, Instagram, etc.)

What Happens After You Book?

Around 6–12 months before your wedding, you can opt to order a delicious box of 6 tasters which can be delivered directly to your door. We will also schedule in a consultation to discuss your vision for the cake in more detail. Within a few weeks, you’ll receive a digital sketch of your cake design to review and refine. Then, approximately 4 weeks before your big day, we’ll finalise all details—including flavours, delivery, and setup—to ensure everything runs smoothly.
